IMF Calls for Credit Score to be Tied to Internet Search History
By Justin Fitzgerald December 23, 2020
In a blog post courtesy of the International Monetary Fund, IMF researchers Arnoud Boot, Peter Hoffmann, Luc Laeven, and Lev Ratnovski called for internet search history to be tied to credit score.
Presenting their findings from a paper they wrote, the researchers argue that by using non-financial data, specifically “the history of online searches and purchases,” we can solve the problem of “certain kinds of people not having enough hard data (income, employment time, assets and debts) available.”

Ontario premier defends spending $2.5 million on bracelets that beep if users get too close
TORONTO — Ontario Premier Doug Ford defended his government’s decision to invest $2.5 million in wearable contact tracing technology that will beep or buzz to notify users if they are too close to another person, saying that the deal should yield a “good return on investment.”
Last week, the Progressive Conservative government issued a news release saying that it will be providing money from the Ontario Together Fund to a technology company in order to create wearable tracing technology for people who work or spend time in facilities where the COVID Alert app can’t be accessed.
The bracelet, called TraceSCAN, would be used in places such as airlines, schools, construction sites and long-term care homes. More………..

The Great Reset Phase 2: In New York, You’ll Need a Covid-19 Passport to Enter Certain Businesses
New Yorkers will need to show a Covid-19 passport to prove vaccination or a negative Covid-19 test result to enter certain businesses. The new “Excelsior Pass” developed in part by IBM will help accelerate the reopening of “theaters, stadiums and other businesses at a more accelerated pace.” [1] This will be similar to mobile airline boarding passes. A QR code will need to be scanned in order to confirm your “health status.” Governor Cuomo explained:
“As we begin reopening the valves on different sectors of our economy, we are putting guidelines in place to ensure individuals attending events involving larger gatherings have tested negative for COVID or have been vaccinated to avoid an outbreak of the virus,” the governor added. “The Excelsior Pass will play a critical role in getting information to venues and sites in a secure and streamlined way, allowing us to fast-track the reopening of these businesses and getting us one step closer to reaching a new normal.” [1]
