Bible Prophecy Is Unfolding Before Our Eyes

——————————————-

Genesis 11  King James Version (KJV)

11 And the whole earth was of one language, and of one speech.

And it came to pass, as they journeyed from the east, that they found a plain in the land of Shinar; and they dwelt there.

And they said one to another, Go to, let us make brick, and burn them thoroughly. And they had brick for stone, and slime had they for morter.

And they said, Go to, let us build us a city and a tower, whose top may reach unto heaven; and let us make us a name, lest we be scattered abroad upon the face of the whole earth.

And the Lord came down to see the city and the tower, which the children of men builded.

******6 And the Lord said, Behold, the people is one, and they have all one language; and this they begin to do: and now nothing will be restrained from them, which they have imagined to do.******

Go to, let us go down, and there confound their language, that they may not understand one another’s speech.

So the Lord scattered them abroad from thence upon the face of all the earth: and they left off to build the city.

Therefore is the name of it called Babel; because the Lord did there confound the language of all the earth: and from thence did the Lord scatter them abroad upon the face of all the earth.

Human beings ………………..!!!! From Adam to “Leonando Di Vinci” to you and I,

The Holy Spirit Before Jesus ascended to heaven, He told His disciples that He would send one who would teach and guide all those who believe in Him (Acts 1:5; John 14:26; John 16:7).

Acts 1:5

“For John truly baptized with water; but ye shall be baptized with the Holy Ghost not many days hence.”

King James Version (KJV)

—————————————

John 14:26

“But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.”

King James Version (KJV)

———————————-

John 16:7

“Nevertheless I tell you the truth; It is expedient for you that I go away: for if I go not away, the Comforter will not come unto you; but if I depart, I will send him unto you.”

King James Version (KJV)

—————————————-

Jesus’ promise was fulfilled less than two weeks later when the Holy Spirit came in power on the believers at Pentecost (Acts 2). Now, when a person believes in Christ, the Holy Spirit immediately becomes a permanent part of his life (Romans 8:14; 1 Corinthians 12:13).

Romans 8:14

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”

King James Version (KJV)

—————————————————

1 Corinthians 12:13

“For by one Spirit are we all baptized into one body, whether we be Jews or Gentiles, whether we be bond or free; and have been all made to drink into one Spirit.”

King James Version (KJV)

————————————————–

The Holy Spirit has many functions. Not only does He distribute spiritual gifts according to His will (1 Corinthians 12:7–11),

7 But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

8 For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

9 To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

10 To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another [divers] kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

11 But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

He also comforts us (John 14:16, KJV), teaches us (John 14:26), and remains in us as a seal of promise upon our hearts until the day of Jesus’ return (Ephesians 1:13; 4:30). The Holy Spirit also takes on the role of Guide and Counselor, leading us in the way we should go and revealing God’s truth (Luke 12:12; 1 Corinthians 2:6–10).

Luke 12:12

“For the Holy Ghost shall teach you in the same hour what ye ought to say.”

King James Version

—————————————————

1 Corinthians Chapter 2

6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought:

7 But we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery, [even] the hidden [wisdom], which God ordained before the world unto our glory:

8 Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known [it], they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.

9 But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him.

10 But God hath revealed [them] unto us by his Spirit: for the Spirit searcheth all things, yea, the deep things of God.

But how do we recognize the Spirit’s guidance? How do we discern between our own thoughts and His leading? After all, the Holy Spirit does not speak with audible words. Rather, He guides us through our own consciences (Romans 9:1) and other quiet, subtle ways.

How To Be Led By The Holy Spirit

By: Author Michael Bradley

Posted on Last updated: November 14, 2018

Since we have opened up this site, we have received many questions from people all across the world. If I had to rank one question that might be one of the most frequently asked questions, it might be the actual title of this article – exactly how am I to be led by the Holy Spirit – and exactly how does the Holy Spirit communicate to all of us in this life?

As we all know, the Bible very clearly says that the sons of God are led by the Holy Spirit in this life. Once again, here is this most important verse:

“For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God.” (Romans 8:14)

The 12 Different Ministries of the Holy Spirit

By: Author Michael Bradley

Posted on Last updated: February 23, 2021

In this article, I want to put together for you all of the different ministries that the Holy Spirit has with each and every born-again believer.

Even though I have talked about many of these different areas in some of our other articles, I feel this revelation from the Lord needs to all be put into one single article so you can have all of this information and knowledge right at your fingertips.

This knowledge and revelation from the Lord really needs to be meditated on and fully understood so you cannot only have it for your own storehouse of knowledge in the Lord, but so you can also have it to help educate others, especially newborns, as they need immediate discipling and mentoring right off the bat once they get saved and born again in the Lord.

Then I will go into each one of them separately so you can see exactly what you can personally have with the Holy Spirit if you decide you want to enter into this kind of supernatural realm with Him.

Now here are 12 specific ministries that the Holy Spirit has with each and everyone of us if we would only be willing to work with Him in each one of these areas.

  1. Will Draw the Unsaved Sinner to Jesus
  2. Will Convict Both Unbelievers and Believers
  3. Will Regenerate Our Human Spirits
  4. Will Draw Us Closer to the Lord
  5. Will Sanctify Us in the Lord
  6. Will Help Us With Our Prayer Life
  7. Will Guide Us Into All Truth
  8. Will Teach Us All Things
  9. Will Anoint Us With His Divine Power
  10. Will Be Our Helper and Comforter in This Life
  11. The 9 Gifts of the Holy Spirit
  12. The 9 Fruits of the Holy Spirit

How can I receive divine guidance?

The desire for direction and divine guidance is universal. In every culture, the wise and learned are revered and their answers sought by those struggling with decisions. Unfortunately, this wisdom is often the manmade variety and can lead to catastrophe, since every human being is fallible and our wisdom often questionable (1 Corinthians 1:20). When man seeks supernatural wisdom, he often turns to the spirit world by consulting mediums, witches, or other avenues forbidden by God (Leviticus 19:31; 20:6; Deuteronomy 18:14). However, Isaiah 8:19 says, “When someone tells you to consult mediums and spiritists, who whisper and mutter, should not a people inquire of their God? Why consult the dead on behalf of the living?”

So how do we receive answers from God? If our hearts are set to truly seek His wisdom, how do we find it? Jeremiah 29:13 says, “You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.” So God promises that those who seek His counsel with all their hearts will find it. However, there are several factors that must be in place before we can claim this promise:

1. We must do it God’s way. The Lord God Almighty is not a slot machine or a genie who grants wishes. But often that is the subconscious attitude of those who claim to want His guidance. Many live life as their own bosses, but, when faced with tragedy or heartache, become temporarily interested in God. If we want direction from God, we must come to Him the only way He provides for such relationship—through His Son. Jesus said, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me” (John 14:6). Our only access to the Father is when we come through the sacrificial death and resurrection of His Son. When we make Jesus the Lord of our lives, we become the children of God (John 1:12; Romans 10:9–10). God’s promises in Scripture are for His children. So when we come to Him in the way He has provided, we can claim His promises for wisdom and guidance (Proverbs 3:5–6; James 1:5).

2. We must know what God’s Word says. There is much guidance already given to us, and we need only to read it in the Bible. We do not need to seek direction about whether or not to sin. If God has already stated something in His Word, He will not contradict it. He will not instruct us to murder someone, steal, or commit adultery. Prohibitions against such things are already clearly stated in His Word, and He expects us to follow them (Mark 10:19; Luke 18:20). For example, many unmarried couples try to insist that “God understands” the fact that they are sleeping together before marriage. Some even claim that they “prayed about it and feel it’s OK.” This thinking is in clear defiance of God’s stated commands against sexual immorality (Hebrews 13:4). To justify sin by saying that God has made an exception to His own commands is to reveal one does not really want the guidance of God.

3. We must be in continual fellowship with the Holy Spirit. God speaks not only through His Word but through the confirmations of His Spirit within us. Romans 8:16 says, “The Spirit himself bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God.” How does He “bear witness with our spirit”? When we are born again (John 3:3), the Holy Spirit moves into our hearts and changes us into “new creatures” (2 Corinthians 5:21). Our human spirits that were once dead and under the control of our flesh are made alive with new power and a desire that come from God Himself (Colossians 2:13; Ephesians 2:5). As we give Him more control over every area of our lives, He speaks within our spirits, convicting of sin, guiding toward wisdom, and confirming His pleasure at our obedience (Psalm 16:11; 2 Corinthians 5:9; Colossians 1:10; Galatians 5:22).

4. We must ask for divine guidance. James 4:2 says, “You do not have because you do not ask.” When our hearts are in right relationship to God, then James 1:5 assures us that we can ask for wisdom and believe that we have received it. We can ask that He guide us into all truth (John 16:13; Psalm 25:5). When we ask in faith, we can then move forward with confidence in the direction that appears wisest, asking all the time for God to shut any door that He did not open. We move ahead with eyes wide open, staying in prayer and seeking God’s answer with a heart to obey.

5. We must be willing to obey when He gives us guidance. Often, when people say they want to know God’s will, what they really mean is this: “I want to know God’s will—and then I’ll decide whether or not I’m going to do it.” God already knows the deep things of our hearts and many times will not reveal His plan to a stubborn heart who will not obey (Psalm 51:10–12; Proverbs 1:28–29; John 14:24; Isaiah 1:15–16). Surrender must accompany any prayer request. He does not exist to do our bidding; we exist for His pleasure and His glory. He desires to work in our lives to accomplish His purposes for us (Philippians 2:13; Colossians 1:16).

The Lord is a communicating God, and He delights in giving divine guidance to those who seek Him (Proverbs 20:24). He wants to direct the heart surrendered to Him. When we come to Him in the way He has provided for us, when we seek His wisdom with a heart to obey (Proverbs 3:13), then we can walk in the confidence that He is directing our paths (Proverbs 3:5–6).

8 BIBLICAL WAYS TO HEAR GOD’S VOICE

8 BIBLICAL WAYS TO HEAR GOD’S VOICE – Estimated Reading Time: 11Minutes

God is always speaking! Did you know that Jesus died on the Cross not just to forgive your sins, but ultimately to bring you into a relationship with Himself? Communication is probably the single greatest vehicle of any relationship. Although some people have a problem believing that God wants to talk to everybody, most believers understand that true prayer is not just petitioning Heaven with a list of requests, but it is communicating with our Father in Heaven as a true friend.

Jesus said, “My sheep hear My voice…” (John 10:27). Prophecy, in its simplest form, is merely hearing from the Holy Spirit and repeating what He said. Paul put it this way, “For you can all prophesy one by one…” (1 Corinthians 14:31).

Knowledge is power and God doesn’t want the prideful to be the powerful; therefore, God hides His word so that only the hungry and the humble have access to His voice. In other words, God’s voice is hidden from the arrogant and the proud.

Luke 10:21 says, “At that very time He (Jesus) rejoiced greatly in the Holy Spirit, and said, “I praise You, O Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that You have hidden these things from the wise and intelligent and have revealed them to infants. Yes, Father, for this way was well-pleasing in Your sight.”

The fact is, God is always speaking. The question is, are we in tune with His voice?

DO YOU HAVE EARS TO HEAR GOD?

Many people believe that Jesus told parables to reveal truth, however, this simply is not Biblical! Matthew 13:10-13 says, “And the disciples came and said to Him, ‘Why do You speak to them in parables?’ Jesus answered them, ‘To you it has been granted to know the mysteries of the kingdom of heaven, but to them it has not been granted. For whoever has, to him more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but whoever does not have, even what he has shall be taken away from him. Therefore I speak to them in parables; because while seeing they do not see, and while hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.’”

If we have not heard the Lord speaking to us in the past 24 hours, we probably missed His voice. Remember, it is the glory of God to hide things, but it is the glory of His royal sons and daughters to search out the mysteries of the Kingdom (Proverbs 25:2). God does not hide things from us; He hides them for us.

The challenge comes when we don’t recognize the different ways God communicates with His people. So then, how does God speak?

8 WAYS GOD SPEAKS TO US

Here are eight common ways that God speaks to His children. This is not an exhaustive list, but simply a jumping-off point. As you read these, I pray that you would be enlightened to recognize the distinctly personal and powerful ways that God speaks to you!

1. Visions

Visions of the Mind occur when the Lord “projects” images and pictures onto the “screen” of our imagination. Most often, this is how the Holy Spirit speaks to us. Visions often appear like hieroglyphics—pictures that require interpretation. So as the Holy Spirit speaks to us through these pictures and images of the mind, we must turn around and ask Him what the pictures mean. (Acts 2:17-18)

2. God’s Still Small Voice

At times, the Lord speaks to us in a still small voice from within our spirit. We may underrate the power of God’s whispers and even ignore these inklings when we expect to rather hear a booming, audible voice. God’s still small voice can be heard as a passing thought, sudden impression, or internal “sense” of something that God is saying. We see this illustrated in the Book of First Kings. In this account, God is not in the strong wind or the earthquake, but rather He is in the gentle blowing (1 Kings 19:11-13).

3. Angels

Angels are another avenue that God uses to communicate with us from the heavenly realm. Throughout the New Testament, angels spoke to people and gave them instructions for their lives (See Luke 1:26-38 for a famous example when the angel Gabriel visited Mary, the mother of Jesus). It’s important to remember that while angels deliver messages, the source of the instruction is from God.

4. Creation

Creation itself is a voice from the Lord that speaks to us in many ways, specifically by echoing to us the truth about who God is. The mountains speak of His strength, the rivers of His provision and the flowers of His beauty (Psalm 19:1-2). Another way creation speaks to us is when God causes nature to do things that are actually prophetic acts. Here’s a wild story for you…One year, every time we would meet at Bethel Church to pray, a roadrunner would show up outside the glass door with a lizard in its mouth! This went on for months until we realized that the Lord was calling us to go out to the roads, the highways, and the byways and compel the lost to come in! One day the roadrunner managed to find his way inside the church. In a desperate attempt to get out of the building, he hit a window and died. The Lord showed us through this event that if we did not reach out to the lost, to “go outside of our fall walls” so to speak, that our church and movement would die.

5. Scriptures

The Lord can speak to us in our daily reading of the Bible by highlighting a verse or story that speaks to us about our present circumstances. Have you ever had a single word or specific verse jump off of the page at you or beckon for it to be read over and over again? The words come to life as you reflect, and suddenly, you have clarity, revelation or comfort for your life.

Sometimes, it may even seem as if God is taking a Scripture verse out of context. It is vital for us to have a basic knowledge of the context of the Scriptures so we understand the full counsel of God. God will never violate His Word, but He will often violate our understanding of His Word. The Holy Spirit may grant us fresh insight or application as we are reading through the Bible. If God gives us fresh insight or a new understanding of a verse or portion of Scripture, it is important that it fits within the rest of the context of the Scriptures. It also cannot be in disagreement with the foundation of God’s revealed nature and character (2 Timothy 3:16-17).

6. Impressions

Many prophetic people experience discernment through impressions without even realizing it. Oftentimes, we can sense an evil spirit on someone just by sitting down next to a troubled person. The evil spirit that is harassing them will begin to trouble us in the same manner. For instance, if a spirit of fear troubles a person in a close geographic area, we can begin to feel fearful as well. If we do not realize our prophetic ability and discernment in this area, it’s easy to feel very confused or think we are crazy (1 Corinthians 12:10). It’s imperative to treat these impressions as information that the Lord is sharing with us instead of a burden we have to constantly live under the weight of. It’s entirely possible, and I’d propose, healthy, to say in your spirit, “Message received” and then move on unless the Lord gives you further instruction on how to pray or act.

7. Circumstances

God can speak to us and direct us through the circumstances of our lives. This dynamic occurs as God opens and closes the doors of opportunity. It is easy to misunderstand this principle and think that any time we come up against an obstacle in our lives that we are out of the will of God. However, keep in mind that oftentimes when we are doing something for God, the enemy will oppose us! Even in times of intense opposition, we must remember that Revelation 3:8 says, “I know your deeds. Behold, I have put before you an open door which no one can shut, because you have a little power, and have kept My word, and have not denied My name.”

8. Spiritual Happenings

These are supernatural incidents that correlate with natural events. Notice that in the Book of Numbers, Aaron’s rod came alive after being dead, and bore blossoms and ripe almonds as a sign from God that he was anointed to be a leader of Israel (Numbers 17:2-8).

Some time ago, every time I entered a worship service, I noticed that my watch gained an hour. After purchasing three different watches, all of which gained an hour during worship, I finally asked the Lord what this could mean. He said, “It’s later than you think.”

WHAT’S GOD SAYING?

Today I want to encourage you to think back on your life and take stock of times when God has spoken to you in these ways. Often times, we miss the profound power of His voice because we’re unconsciously ignorant of the manner in which He speaks. So how do you hear God’s voice? In what ways would you like to grow in learning to hear from the Lord? I’d love to hear from you in the comments!
